Building neighborhood connections through activities and outreach
NOTE: The Bolton Community Network is a community based organization of volunteers. It is NOT an officially sanctioned board of the Town of Bolton.
We are a group in Bolton interested in fostering a sense of community in town. We organize and support a variety of activities that help to build connections between neighbors.
- What is your idea of community?
- What do you want to participate in?
- Do you want to lead or help with something?
- What do you need help with?

BONE BUILDERS
Monday, CANCELLED January 23, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, at 4:30 p.m. MUST WEAR N95/KN95 MASKS: Hydration should be outdoors. Bone Builders is an exercise program designed to prevent (and even reverse) the negative effects of osteoporosis. The program is based on research conducted and published by Tufts University which shows that strength training just twice a week dramatically reduces the risk of fractures due to the disease. Study participants gained bone density, became stronger and improved their balance. These health gains significantly reduced the incidence of falling. Bone Builders classes fill a vital need for regular physical exercise as well as increased social interaction, both well-known components of healthy aging. All are welcome, equipment is provided. No charge. Questions:Deb Shelby |
BOLTON PICKLEBALL
Tuesday, January 24, at 5:30PM Masks are optional and KN95 Masks are available for those that want them. Pickleball has begun in Bolton at Smilie School Gym and will continue on Tuesday evenings per Smilie School schedule. No charge. Rodney would like you to use the PlayTime Scheduler if you plan to play so that he will know if folks are coming to play. If you have not used this for Huntington or any other site you will need to register first. Click on the link https://playtimescheduler.com/s/538376 to register and/or to sign up to play. You are signing up to play in Chittenden/Franklin County and the play site is Huntington (lavender color). (This is counter-intuitive, but the place to sign up for Bolton is called “Huntington” on this schedule! ) Look through the week’s schedule for the lavender circle and you will see Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Bolton is Tuesday. Kathy Gruber does not use the scheduler for her Thursday evening Pickleball in Richmond. Questions: Rodney Pingree, Leader pingree.rodney@outlook.com |
